I’ve been tagged by Geekmom for the 7 weird or unique things about me meme… Here goes, a random selection:
1. I went to medical school for two years, in France. Not wanting to become a doctor was my main reason for quitting…
2. I love snails in garlic butter. OK - escargots.
3. I married my first husband to give him a work permit, and because neither of us had anything better to do that week. We ended up together, and we had two lovely girls before splitting up several years later.
4. I live quite happily alongside my proliferous dust-bunnies. That’s a good thing. Had I had a problem with them and with all the mess 8 people + pets can make in a house, I would have driven myself and everyone else crazy. As it is, I do a huge clear-out once in a long while.
5. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and one Miracle Boy. One could say I’ve worked hard for the kids I’ve got.
6. I don’t have green thumbs indoors. My house plants have to scream: “Water me! I’m dying! Please!” over and over before I get it and toss some water their way. Needless to say, very few plants survive that regime. My Aloe does OK, and I’ve got a lovely green thing that needs virtually no TLC at all. The ones in the kitchen window stand a slightly better chance - I sometimes notice them before they die… The garden in summer is another story! It’s flowery, and green, and full of wonderful veggies. Go figure.
7. Dust bunnies excepted, we’ve got 35 farm animals and pets here all together.
