I got an email this morning. It went like this:

“Dear all friends, relatives, business-contacts and people I might know.

I hope you will find time to contribute to this project, we are
creating a peaceful army of mothers from all over the world – trying
to put pressure on the people with power, to stop the attacks in
Gaza, going on at this very moment.

Maybe you’re not a mother yourself, but surely you know a couple of
them…Please spread this e-mail to all the mothers, step-mothers,
fostermothers or women-who-feel-like-mothers out there! Spend a few
minutes to take a picture of yourself and send an e-mail with your
reason why the attacks should stop, and it will be published on the
Army of Mothers blog:

Army Of Mothers

Follow the link to get more info.
Thank you for your support!

Aggie”

I have contributed, and I hope you will too. It’s a blog, it’s just started, but any initiative to make the people of power on both sides see that they’re killing real people, and that no one is expendable, is worth a try…

Go see Aggie, send her your picture, and let’s get the ball rolling!

Stumble it!

One Response to “A Peace Initiative”

Mama Shujaa Says:

You know, parents, educators, adults complain when children bully other children. Yet, here we have it – Israel using its might against Hezbollah – based on some lame excuse. They choose to kill 500 people for every 1 person killed. Israel has a right to exist but if the problem is to be solved they need to give Palestine their land. Plain and Simple.

United Nations executive members (i.e. US, Russia, China and to a certain degree, Israel) export arms all over the world. These are the Weapons of Mass Destruction used to kill women and children!

You know, people have one desire in the world, just to LIVE L.I.F.E. To wake up every day, feed their families, spend time with their children – THAT IS IT.

The killings in Gaza have to stop.

I visited Aggie and read her specifications for the photo and will try to get it done this weekend. Thanks for spreading the word on this army of mothers.
