As of today, my grand total blog income is $1618. That’s my other blog and this one combined. (I started paid blogging in June, I think, so it’s not exactly a mind-blowing income, but it’s something!) I’m not sure how much I’ve made on this one, but I know it’s self – sufficient, i.e. it’s paying for itself, and then some. It’s nice to know that the expense is justified, even though it’s a small expense.
I won’t be needing a Business valuation any time soon, but I’ve had a blog value calculator widget up on my other blog for a while (to boost my ego). When I tried checking the “value” of this blog, it came out being worth around $25000. A few days later, I found another calculator, that valuated it at… $ 69… (Which, by the way, is probably far more accurate!). I like the other one better…
Blog income potential looked much better before the Google slap (my other blog fell from 3 to 0), but I’m optimistic all the same. It’s only an extra bit of cash to me, that I’m saving up for a family holiday. I’ll get there, if a bit more slowly than anticipated.
Visitor-wise… well, a pr 3 blog gets more random visits that a pr zero blog, that’s for sure.
I guess I could try and read up on SEO, but I’m having far too much fun blogging (!), so I think I’ll just stick to that for now…
