It could be the template author has an embedded link to this template and made changes that are now reflecting here. If you are not sure ( or this is a template you made yourself) check your html code for links to other sites not your own.

I hope things will get back to normal; back to how it was like previously. I had a few of such experience before whereby things changed at my site which I did not know why. But like you said, black is fine.
