From a telemarketer. I was going to get a “totally free” book package for my child – I only had to pay for p&p… AND stay on as a member for a year, coping with the hassle of cancelling my “order” every month. No thanks…

These calls annoy me no end! At least this one was genuine – there are plenty of scams out there too. That’s when a service like TraceNumber.com comes in handy. This reverse phone lookup service can be used to lookup the name and address for any unknown phone number, be it simply an annoying prankster or telemarketer or something more serious.
Wondering about a number on your phone bill, or who placed that call you just missed? Look it up! The service is available for cell and telephone numbers in the US and Canada, and it’s 100% confidential. No one is notified of your search, which makes it safe if you’re the victim of harassment or the like.

We have a similar service over here, and I use it often, although not to track down telemarketers. Some of them are so annoying that I’d love to turn into a prankster myself, but that’s probably a bad idea…

Stumble it!

Good information to know. I hate annoying phone calls. I won’t even start on telemarketers. Have a great day. :)

Good info to have. There are quite a few times when someone’s “boss” ought to know how their employees are on the phone. Not that they would care anyway.

Laura Says:

My Mom just puts the phone down and lets them talk to themselves until they realize no one is listening and hang up.

The calls that bug me are those which you answer and then nothing is there for a minute and you’re just left hanging for someone to come on the call and tell you what they are calling for. Some even hang up before anyone says anything. I think that’s pretty obnoxious considering I just dropped what I was doing to answer their call. At the very least someone should be on the other line, ready to talk to me.
