- I was called to name something I consider myself an expert in. That’s not easy! (Unless, of course, you ARE an expert in something. Which I truly am not).
I thought about parenting, but it was taken, and I’m not an expert in parenting either. I sometimes consider myself an expert in parenting my own kids (which is a terrible misunderstanding – they surprise me every day!). So – I came up with Brats. Meaning my Brats, all 6 of them.
We all make mistakes, we forgive each other, we laugh, we cry, we’re bored (they’re bored. I blog) – and we’re a FAMILY.
I don’t believe for a minute that they’ll look back and think they’ve had a great childhood (who does???), but I hope they’ll remember parts of it fondly… And that they’ll make time to come and see us when we’re old(er) and (even more) weird – because they want to, and not out of duty.

So who are you comparing yourself to. I consider myself an expert in coffee (at least around my part of the universe) But that doesn’t mean I know it all. I have yet to find a perfect parent so it takes a little guts to consider yourself an expert in parenting. If we a few out there … the world would definitely be a better place. Anyway… I kinda like the one you picked…. I consider myself an expert in that too! lol…. my brats are now up and gone and some of them are raising their own brats! So good luck. I enjoy reading you!

It’s all one can wish for. I too wish for the same. Raising a family is tough work. Have a great day. Big hug.

I’ve been reading your blog for quite a while now. I believe you are an expert mother. More importantly, you are a GOOD mother. That comes through in your posts almost every day.
But you are an expert in other things too. I really like your photographs, for example. If you are not really and expert, then at least you are a “natural”. You have a very good eye for composition.
Perhaps at the top of the list is the fact that you are an expert at just being Stine. You are helpful, outgoing and friendly to people. An awful lot of people really like you, and that doesn’t happen by accident. I have always admired you ever since I met you. And I never really cared if you were an expert at anything, to tell you the truth. Just keep being YOU.

hi,
i’m Sue. coming here all the way from Malaysia. is that your daughter in the picture?
you make me smile when you wrote They’re bored. I blog. seems like we’ve something in common. plus if they’re falling asleep
. anyway, i’m a mother of 3. 2 girls + 1 boy who are under 4 years old!
like you, i found out that it’s so hard to find a keyword to my blog because i blog about almost everything. i’m master of none. i got the idea after looking back to what i’ve blogged most, that’s about ‘experience’. i’m experiencing a test in my parenthood.
my 3rd daughter is a preterm girl. born on january this year. she’s just like a normal baby when i gave birth to her except there’re several complications happened on the 3rd day of her life. finally, it led her to hydrochepalus. the rest, the condition is just normal and she’s an active child! i just love to talk about her and learning new terms in medical. of course it’s inappropriate to call myself an expert in medical, isn’t it?
nice knowing you & enjoy reading your blog!

@ Christina: Thank you – I have been known to enjoy the odd dozen coffee cups myself…
@ Comedy: Hugs to you, too!
@ Relax Max: I bow my head in gratitude – you’re too kind, kind Sir!
@ sualeen: I became quite the preemie expert myself when Miracle Boy came along – well, an expert on MY preemie, anyway! I’m glad your daughter is doing so well!
@ Howie BHR: I would if I could find the comment button – thanks for the comment spam!

Oh, there is no such thing as an expert at parenting. Even the so-called experts don’t know what is right for every child! I believe in getting to know your children, heart and soul, and becoming the parent that fits them best.
Remi Says:
I can think of several things you look expert at:
- Caring about your kids seem the obvious number one
- Blogging is another one!
- And your mastery of the English language a third one.
In addition you live in one of the most wonderful countries, but it has nothing to do with mastering anything!

The Linkback Project Says:
A very wise choice for a first keyword grasshopper… You will have a much smaller army to fight for that keyword. Just think what I have to go up against for my 5. link, back, linkback, backlink, project.
I think what I am most happy about is that this post in particular fit perfectly into an opportunity to bait this spider trap with my 5 keywords that I am using.
You have no CommentLuv tho?
That script attracts folks like me back to comment more. If I have to login and register, I will never comment. The CLove script gets me a free link in my comments. No need to spam the webmaster with my link, he hands me a free one at the door. I regular those spots irregardless of PR.
Nice post by the way. (Didn’t think I would walk out after a lay of spider bait.)
I am a father of the now 10th child as of 3 weeks ago, and 8 of them are daughters, so Brat is a word I could use to describe them all. And here I thought the word Brat was a normal name that all parents used to describe children that knew way more than all of us parents put together.

Wow! 6 kids and that is true about being a family. You sound like a great parent! Is really anyone an expert at anything? I think some people just think they are.
