Water pump. Dishwasher (we just had a reprieve, it definitely needs seeing to). Now, the car is playing up (we’re looking at $4-5000 if we’re unlucky, and I somehow think this isn’t our week) and the Internet connection. Any more now, and I’ll need a portable oxygen concentrator to counteract the stress.
I’ve got an Internet connection now (a nice, expensive guy came by yesterday and sold me a new modem with an integrated router - the old one was killed by a thunderstorm). I spent all of yesterday evening trying to get on. I finally managed, by connecting #4 Brats laptop to the modem by cable. No way was I getting the wireless connection to work. This morning, I unplugged it just to see, and wireless is working.
Don’t ask. I was rather frustrated when I logged out last night! Small mercies though - my PC can’t get on at all. I probably need a new network adapter. The computer tells me the adapter is working fine, but I CAN’T GET OUT THERE!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!
#4 Brat is out with the horses now, so I’m making the most of it. I somehow don’t think she’ll take kindly to me claiming back some of the hours she’s hogged my computer…
Now, if someone WITHOUT an aol, yahoo or msn mail adress would write and tell me I’ve won those 987 549 euros (or dollars, I’m not picky!) that I’m awarded on a weekly basis, it might restore my faith in our Karma… Oh, yes, no hurry. I’m not quite ready to try and figure out how to access my mail from this computer yet. Must go out and buy a ton of chocolate first. And have that stress reduction kit above printed and laid out, ready for extensive use, on my tile floor.
