My 19 month old is like that. I sit on the couch and he wants in my lap, but he doesn't just sit there, he wants to climb all over me as thought he wants to climb on my head... Isn’t it amazing how these little ones just get cuter and cuter by the minute though? He is one handsome little fellow for sure! I know the feelings of which you speak -sitting with a clean toddler, all dressed in his jammies, a little bit of rocking time, as he cuddles and damned if it doesn’t make me cry. Part of you just wants to keep them that size, that sweet, loving and innocent and then, the evil part wants to see them learn and learn some more, knowing full well, with the addition of each tidbit of knowledge they are then able to get into so many more things. But even worse, they are drawing away from us minute by minute then too. It’s such a sad but pleasurable thing so much of the time -this child-rearing business, isn’t it?
