I recently joined a blogging community called Entrecard. Some of you may have noticed the little widget thingy on my left sidebar. I might write up on Entrecard in a bit, but for now, let me introduce you to a blogger I’ve “found” through the site, Saphrym.
Saphrym used to be a big guy. He was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes last July, and decided he wanted to meet his grandchildren. Since then, he’s shrunk! Lots!
His blog may have started out as a dieter’s log, which sounds rather boring, doesn’t it… Well it isn’t. The dieter part is informative, and oh, so admirable – he’s so dedicated, and does so well! When I start shrinking Hubby and myself (as soon as this work/no work/settlement is resolved), this blog will be a point of reference for me…
There’s more to it than dieting, though. It’s a friendly site, a helpful site, and a site that’s also about traffic and Link Love. (Among lots of other stuff!)
So… what about this contest, you ask. This post is my entry to the contest. The prize is $250 and 1000 Entrecard credits.
OK… what do you have to do?, you ask. Well, I’ve done most of it already in this post. The difficult part remains – working out which of the posts on his blog to blog about. There are so many great candidates!
In the spirit of my last post, and in the hope of educating some of my readers on Entrecard, my choice has to be “I’ve Been Inspired!”.
Entrecard, in addition to letting you earn credits in various ways, so that you can advertise your website on other blogs, also has a “shop”. Recently, they held a contest among Entrecard users, to find bloggers who would be allowed to peddle their goods in this “shop”, for Entrecard Credits. Saphrym made the grade, and is now selling Entrecard Ad Designs (check out the ones he’s done for Claire and others!) as well as blog reviews.
So – if you’re planning to join Entrecard (as well you should), at least you know who to contact for that Card Design… As I will, as soon as I can save up the credits.
If not, visit Saphrym anyway. His blog is interesting on so many levels! Father, Reader, Thinker, Ranter, Cook or Consumer – these are some sides of him that are worth exploring. As well as Dieter, of course!
