Borky: Boring and Quirky

P.L. Frederick @ Small And Big has tagged me with this meme, and I’m happy to oblige, since there are sooo many borky things to choose from. That said - I’ll start with the rules:

1) Link to the person who tagged me (P.L.). 2) Mention the rules. 3) Tell six quirky yet boring, unspectacular details about myself. 4) Tag 6 other bloggers by linking to them. 5) Go to each person’s blog and leave a comment that lets them know they’ve been tagged.

Now to the boring/quirky part:
I. A friend and I once put all our luggage in the boot of two nice Italian boys’ car on a backpack trip, and then climbed into the car ourselves. They’d invited us for a sight-seeing and a coffee. In hindsight, I’m surprised to say that’s exactly what we got. Great judges of character? Hardly. Lucky? Definitely.
II. Today, I’ll be making pancakes for our dinner. And a few other things.
III. I’ve cheated the grim reaper twice already.
IV. I’ve got green thumbs outdoors. Indoors, I kill everything - slowly.
V. I hate driving in big cities/heavy traffic (see # III), so if I have to go there without a driver, I take the train.
VI. I have 6 kids and an open house, and that’s lovely. Sometimes, though, I consider becoming a hermit. (Do hermits blog? If so, I’m seriously considering it…)

Now - to the tagging of the half-dozen… These are people who I believe would have a hard time coming up with anything boring about themselves. Quirky might be easier though!

Seems the quirky Meme is getting around, I recently did it myself. Nothing wrong with pancakes for supper - we do breakfast at night often.

Okay, for you I’ll do it. It will be next week though since I’ve got a long boating weekend that starts tomorrow. I’ve put this post on my desktop so I won’t forget. Thanks for thinking of me in a quirky sort of way. Bwahahahahaha. Yes, hermits can still blog. Have a great day. :)

I used to have horses and seeing that photo makes me miss them. I just ran out of time and they became expensive lawn ornaments! Kids got involved in other things, and that was that.

In response to #6, I blog and much of the time these days, I am pretty much a hermit, so I”m thinking yes, you too could be a hermit.

If you were a hermit, what would you have to blog about? Dust settling in your home? Bugs in the yard? Maybe you could do a lot of reading and write reviews (like I do). Better think twice about being a hermit–much of your blog is about family stuff.

Hi Stine. Thanks for tagging me. I’ll do it, then I’ll let you know when it’s completed.

I have times when I’m rather ‘hermitish’ (new word, haha) and still blog, however, after reading Karen Zemek’s comment I must agree that it could get to be a challenge to find interesting things to blog about if one was a hermit. However, if you can blog that means you have internet, so you could be a hermit and still surf the www then blog about what you find there. If you’re a hermit with animals then you can blog about them… or a garden. I guess you could even write about being a hermit: what it’s like, what thoughts you have, are you bored, lonely or feeling great and loving it. If you decide to do it, let us all know how it goes, haha.
