If this keeps up, my blogs “authority” will shrink and go out of existence. I’m bored with seeing the numbers go down (down around 200 in the last week…) so I’ll remove the Technorati stuff from my sidebar as of today.

“Oh, she’s miffed”, I hear you cry, “She can’t take the heat”… Maybe so. Or maybe she just can’t be bothered. Blogging is so much better without all the Big Brothers out there, making up the rules as they go along…

Stumble it!

All of us are experiencing the same thing. Mine is down more than 300 in the three days I was gone. I was so done with them before this though. I just don’t like how they do business. Very unfair if you ask me. Someone going to come up with something better and Technorati will be no more. Just saying. Have a great day honey. Big hug. :)

I tried social and directory sites such as Technocrati for a while, but in my opinion they were worthless. The best things for my blog were Entrecard and Google Search. Combined they deliver about 90% of my traffic.

I got rid of my Technorati stuff well over a year ago – it was too depressing to worry about my ranking and in the big picture of things, it just didn’t matter anyway! You won’t miss it at all!

Mine started from 900+ and is now down to 259! It’s actually very funny because I know I have fresh incoming links but the authority goes down each day. You reminded me that I was about to take the number off my sidebar as well :)

Alan Says:

Like everybody above, I ditched Technorati long ago. My traffic comes from Entrecard and search engines.

Boy, I had pretty much forgotten about Technorati! I wonder if any of the places (like paid posts) still use them to make decisions for us about paid posts or of that ranking stuff was just all some bits and pieces of garbage. I don’t remember what my seniority was with Technorati the last time I looked -several months ago -but it had risen quite high (for me, anyway) and today -since you tripped my trigger by posting about this) I checked and mine is now down to 300. I think it was up in the high 400 range a while back but I don’t recollect seeing any extra traffic that I could pin back to Technorati or anything like that -other than the “Big Bang” type meme posts now and then.
