1. I can suddenly watch Oprah. We’re subscribed to a service that doesn’t include the channel that shows Oprah over here. Now, suddenly, probably due to a glitch, we have the pleasure of a badly sound/picture synchronized Oprah Winfrey every day. Am I wrong, or does she seem eminently fed up with what she’s doing?

2. Probably due to the TV karma fairy, because I’ve been bold enough to blog about us not having an LCD Tv in the past, our trusty work horse of a television box has begun its decline. The speakers are bust (they only work well on very low volume) and the picture sometimes… disappears.

So… it looks like I’ll be able to watch a wider, shorter version of Oprah soon. It kills me, because I don’t like it when people are wider and shorter than I’m used to, and also, because I’ll have to rearrange everything in my living room. Even a tv wall mount won’t help, I still have to move the book shelf somewhere else, and probably rearrange everything else too. (The television is located in the corner section of the bookshelf, you see…)
Unless we go and buy a second hand colossus like the one we’ve got of course. It’s tempting. The only upside of having a wide-screen one is that we won’t have to guess the first and last parts of the subtitles anymore…

Still, getting a second-hand one will save energy in two ways: recycling, thus saving the planet, AND keeping me from wasting energy on a huge book-and-furniture rearranging project, thus saving my mental health and my family from a bitchy mama.

As for Oprah – I’m not all that bothered. It’s slightly better than the extreme sports channel that used to be there though…

Stumble it!

One Response to “TV Karma…”

Comedy Plus Says:

I don’t care for Oprah. She’s just an entertainer. Period. She also expects the entire world to do whatever she says. Can’t stand most entertainers. Just saying. :)
