This post was drafted yesterday – I wasn’t in the mood to finish it… Too angry. Here goes:
Funny of the day: Hubby was laid off work today. The best Christmas present ever.
He’s contesting it of course, since there are no relevant grounds for termination, and getting a new job should be easy enough, although one never knows.
I’m angry. No, I’m fuming. They’ve treated him so badly, in such subtle, insidious ways over the last year/two years, so this is just the icing of the cake – the piece de resistance, so to speak, and in many ways it’s a relief. The thing is, that when decent people are treated badly, they turn the other cheek… Not so any more. He’s got himself a lawyer, and the brief is to get a year’s worth of paychecks out of them.
That would do just fine. He’s due a few months off before starting to look for another job.
